It runs on your computer, not in our cloud.
This is the shortest version of the most important thing about douu: the work happens on a machine you already own, under permissions you can see and revoke.
Where your documents live
They stay in your folders. A job reads them on your machine. What leaves the machine is the request itself and the summary a model needs — never your whole drive, and only for the part of the job that needs a model.
The approval gate
Three things always stop for you: spending money, sending as you, and deleting. Nothing in the free or paid plans turns this off — a skill you install cannot turn it off either.
Permissions, per app
Read, draft, write and admin are granted separately for every integration. The default is read plus draft: douu can prepare anything, and commit nothing.
Your data is not training data
Documents you give douu are not used to train models, ours or anyone else's, and are not used to improve another account. Erasing the log erases it.
What depends on us.
Because the crew runs locally, an outage here is much smaller than it looks — the list of what breaks is deliberately short.
| Component | State | What breaks if it goes down |
|---|---|---|
| Desktop app | Operational | Nothing — it runs offline |
| Phone relay | Operational | Threads stop syncing to the phone |
| Skill library | Operational | You cannot install new skills |
| Model routing | Operational | Jobs fall back to the local model, more slowly |
| Licence check | Operational | Nothing for 30 days, then the app goes read-only |
Status is published on this page. We do not send marketing email about outages.
Everyone who touches data.
Named, with the job they do. No “and other partners”.
| Processor | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud hosting | Serves this site and the phone relay | IP, request metadata |
| Model provider | Runs the reasoning step a job needs | The prompt for that step only |
| Payments | Takes card payments for plans | Name, card, billing address |
| Email delivery | Sends transactional mail | Email address |
| Error reporting | Catches crashes in the desktop app | Stack trace, app version — never file contents |
If you find something.
Tell us before you tell anyone else, and we will not make it awkward.
